Option 1 - Join online
Take care filling in your details: the form is case-sensitive. Double-check that you have used upper and lower-case correctly especially for your email address.
The Bristol u3a payment page is hosted by Paypal, but this does not make any difference to you as a member - you can pay using a debit or credit card by choosing to “Check out as a Guest”. You will find this option at the bottom of the page.
PayPal will not open a PayPal account for you when you use your credit or debit card. However, they will retain the information you provide in accordance with their Privacy Policy which enables them to monitor the use of PayPal for risk management purposes.
After joining you will receive a confirmation from the Bristol u3a PayPal account that your payment has been processed successfully.
You will also receive an email from Bristol u3a with your membership card attached. You may be asked to show it at meetings – you can either show the card on your smartphone or print a copy. If this email does not come within a few minutes, let us know.
Option 2 - Join by post and pay by cheque
Complete the application form, then post it with your cheque and a stamped addressed envelope, to the Membership Secretary, whose address is on the form.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, and pay more Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in one tax year, Bristol u3a can reclaim tax equal to 1/4 of your subscription at no cost to you.
Gift Aid really helps to keep your subscription as low as possible.
For joint membership, where only one of you is eligible for Gift Aid, please put that person's name first.
Only complete the section on Gift Aid if you are happy for the data to be transferred to HMRC electronically.
