Human Physiology - Are you interested in how the body works, and why it sometimes doesn’t? This group will explore how the body functions using an accessible, evidence-based approach. Each 2 hour session will include input from an expert speaker followed by group discussion, with members also invited to suggest future topics. Our first topic will be “What is Sleep?”, looking at the fascinating physiology behind this essential, yet sometimes troubling, part of life. Other topics will include: memory, learning, pain, emotion, movement, brain and nerve structure and many more!
Our first meeting will be in mid-September; date and venue to be confirmed.
If you are interested please contact the group leader.

Cricket Spectators Group- There are a good number of people who are interested but the group needs a leader with a passion for cricket. We will aim to meet up to see how this group can move forward. There was a very successful group in the past so it would be good to get another group up and running.
If you are interested, please contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

Textile and Things - Do you need help with a current project? Or inspiration for a new project? This group currently has a small number of members who have met at the Redcatch Community Garden in Knowle. We are looking for a venue between Knowle and Stockwood. Until we start to meet regularly, we aim to visit local exhibitions that focus on textile crafts, with an emphasis on sustainability.

Performing Classical Music – the idea is to get together to play classical music for our own enjoyment. If you are a musician who enjoys playing classical music and is interested in performing in chamber groups or small ensembles, this could be for you.
You don't have to be a top-class player, but you should have some sight reading ability and ideally some experience of playing with others. Instruments: violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon. Possibly piano. Perhaps French horn.
The size of the groups we can form, aspects of leadership and a practise venue will all need to be considered.. We might need a conductor and will also need someone to organise the music we play.
If you are interested, contact Elizabeth Martyn
