Art in 15 Minutes - Develop your creativity in 15 minutes a day. Any medium - sketch, doodle or be imaginative. Develop your skills, build habits and share with the group! This will be a Whatsapp only group - just fun, 15 minutes only, not works of fine art!

Welsh Book Club - Do you have an interest in reading Welsh novels and meeting regularly to discuss them in an accessible location in Redland?

Cricket Spectators Group- Geoff asks “Would you be interested to go to a cricket match as a group?”  There was a very successful group in the past so it would be good to get another group up and running.

If you are interested, please contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

International Politics - Tired of British Politics? Interested in the wider world? Russell Lane has an idea for a group that will explore key issues in regions of the world often overlooked by mainstream media. Members will take turns to lead discussions by outlining recent history and political trends in specific parts of the world.

If you are interested, please contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

Sunday Lunch Group -

Initially it would be in a very central venue, which might be a pub that Heather knows.

If you are interested, please contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

Textile Crafts - Do you need help with a current project?  Or inspiration for a new project?  Two of our textile crafts groups are full. Heather invites you to get together to see what can be done about starting a new group.

If you are interested contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

Harbourside Social Group - some members say that the river is a barrier for them and are wondering whether there would be enough interest in a group that meets on the north side of the river.  The venue chosen is central, and close to buses and ferries.

The group initially aims to meet on Mondays, alternately in the morning and in the afternoon.

If you are interested, contact Heather, the Groups Coordinator South of the River.

Performing Classical Music – the idea is to get together to play classical music for our own enjoyment.  If you are a musician who enjoys playing classical music and is interested in performing in chamber groups or small ensembles, this could be for you.

You don't have to be a top-class player, but you should have some sight reading ability and ideally some experience of playing with others. Instruments: violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon. Possibly piano. Perhaps French horn.

The size of the groups we can form, aspects of leadership and a practise venue will all need to be considered..  We might need a conductor and will also need someone to organise the music we play.

If you are interested, contact Elizabeth Martyn

These are new groups which are in the pipeline but have not started to meet regularly yet.

They are just waiting for more members or perhaps some help in running them.

If you are interested and would like more information or to join one of these groups, use the links to message the relevant group leader .

If you have an idea for a new group, speak to your Groups Coordinator. There may be many other u3a members with a similar interest. Lots of help is available to help you set up, advertise and run a group. Take a look at the Group Leaders page.
