Impromptu cinema visits can also be made by group members communicating with each other using WhatsApp. A WhatsApp link is sent to new members when they join.
Members are notified of the selected film by email and they can attend as and when it suits them with no expectation to attend regularly.
Everyone is responsible for buying their own tickets, which vary in price from £5 upwards, and this information will be given to members each time. In some cases tickets bought on line can be slightly cheaper than tickets bought in person, although some tickets may attract a booking fee.
The selected films will usually be daytime viewings to take advantage of lower ticket prices and because public transport is more regular during the day. In case members wish to go on somewhere afterwards to discuss the film we list some cafes/pubs nearby.

While we will try to keep the venue local to East Bristol, we also venture further afield. To help members decide whether the venue will be suitable for them the email will include details of the venue, accessibility, how to get there by public transport, parking, ticket prices and a brief description of the film.

Longwell Green Vue
Aspects Leisure Park, Bristol BS15 9LA. 0345 308 4620.
Getting there: Bus 17 from Fishponds, bus 44 from the centre stops outside Asda. Walk across the car park to the main entrance of Asda and, facing the main entrance, walk to your right to Timpsons at the corner, turn sharp left and continue straight ahead up the steps, along the path and over the footbridge across the ring road to the Vue.
Parking: Plentiful free parking is available near the cinema.
Accessibility: All screens are wheelchair accessible, with a disabled toilet outside each screen.
Tickets: Subject to change: currently (July 2026) basic supersaver tickets start from £5.99, or £4.99 when purchased on line.
Refreshments: Snacks, ice cream and coffee available in cinema. Cafe and Wishing Well pub nearby.
Little Theatre Cinema

Getting there: Bus X39 to Bath from Bristol Bus station. 19 bus to Bath from Bristol Parkway via Downend/Kingswood/Bitton. In Bath get off at stop after Green Park, turn left towards Westgate Street, continue on Westgate St and turn 1st right into St Michael’s Place. Cinema is on the right.
Parking: Blue badge disabled parking is available outside the cinema. Otherwise there is parking at Green Park Road and Avon Street car parks. Newbridge Park & Ride - 21 bus stops in Westgate Buildings.
Accessibility: Screen 1 (Silver Screen) is wheelchair accessible.
Tickets: Prices are subject to change. Currently (July 2026), join Silver Screen Club (free) for reduced ticket prices at 10.30am on Tuesday, Thursday including tea/coffee. Cheap tickets Mondays.
Refreshments: Tea, Coffee and snacks available in cinema. Many pubs and cafes close by.
Watershed Cinema

Getting there: bus 6, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 etc from East Bristol.
Parking: Underground parking at the Millennium Underground car park - 10 mins walk. Otherwise Trenchard Street car park, or Brislington Park & Ride bus 9 stops at the Centre.
Accessibility: entry to the cinema is via stairs, but there is a lift. All screens are wheelchair accessible.
Tickets: prices are subject to change. Currently (July 2026) for performances before 4pm prices are £6 plus 12% for concessions (66+ who have retired). After 4pm concession tickets cost £9.00 + 12%. Full price tickets £11.50. 15% off with Clubshed membership.
Refreshments: Bar and restaurant in cinema.
Scott Cinema

Getting there: Number 2 bus from the stop opposite Bristol Hippodrome takes you to Henleaze. Get off at Waitrose. Scott Cinema is next to the bus stop and is upstairs - see Accessibility.
Parking: On street parking near the cinema. Waitrose car park is NOT available to cinemagoers.
Accessibility: Inside there are 30 steps from the street to the cinema box office plus an additional flight to the cinema. There is no lift. Unfortunately the cinema is not wheelchair accessible.
Tickets: prices are subject to change. Currently (July 2026) around £6+. Saver Monday tickets £5.
Silver Tuesdays tickets cost from £4.50.
Refreshments: In cinema snacks, drinks. Westbury Park Pub and Kitchen opposite. Parking: on street parking near the cinema. Waitrose car park not available.
Everyman Cinema

Getting there: Any bus which goes along Whiteladies Road including the 1, 2, 2a, 3, and 4.
Parking: NCP car park at Clifton Down Shopping Centre (Sainsbury’s) a short walk away.
Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. Ground floor access to all auditoria, with disabled seats A7-9 in Screen 1, G1 in Screen 2 and H1-2 in Screen 3. The step-free entrance is on the side of the building on Melrose Place. Please ring the bell on the door and a team member will let you in.
Tickets: prices are subject to change. Currently (July 2026) £12 concessions for over 55s, Monday to Thursday.
Refreshments: Snacks, plus hot food can be ordered and brought into the cinema.
Odeon Luxe
Cabot Circus, Glass House Lane Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3BX. 0333 014 4501.
Getting there: Any bus heading for the the centre of Bristol will get you close to Cabot Circus Shopping Centre. Once there, Cinema Luxe is on the second floor, accessible via escalator/lift.
Tickets: All tickets are £7.95. There are no concessions.
Refreshments: Drinks and food available in cinema.
Parking: Cabot Circus Shopping Centre £2.50 for 4 hours before 5pm, and a flat rate of £2.50 between 5pm-6am. Speak to cinema staff to validate your parking.
Accessibility: Restricted-mobility access and wheelchair-friendly screenings at most Odeon cinemas. When searching online for films and showtimes select the ‘wheelchair friendly’ filter.
