We have two shared learning groups of bird enthusiasts who meet approximately once a month during the autumn and winter.
Our groups include beginners and more experienced members.
Numbers are limited to around 12 per group due to the size of hides.
We visit various nature reserves such as Ham Walls on the Somerset Levels or Chew Valley Lake. Locations are about one hour's drive from Bristol. Some walking is involved.
We usually spend the morning going around the reserve and then go for either a pub or cafe lunch or take packed lunches, perhaps returning to another reserve in the afternoon if members wish.
We have no expert among us but share enthusiasm and knowledge of birds and their habitats with field expeditions.
