Philosophy for Everyday Life 2

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: Monthly on Tuesday afternoons 2:00 pm-4:00 pm
The last Tuesday of the month
Venue: St Peters Church Hall (Henleaze)

A discussion-based group that explores the ideas of some important philosophers and how we might apply them to our everyday lives.

Do you enjoy discussing big ideas? Do you want to develop good mental habits? We will look at important questions like "How should I live my life?", "What is happiness?", "What is freedom?", "What is love?", "What is right and wrong?"

We start each session with an introduction to a key philosopher. We will use a stimulus - video clip, extract or short passage before starting a discussion.

The emphasis is on evaluating ideas and applying them to our own experiences. There is no need to have studied any philosophy before. Hopefully, we will learn from each other and have some fun along the way!

Reading material will be sent prior to meetings. Please bring 50p for tea/coffee and your own mug.
