A lively group for people who like to share and discuss poetry, and how it affects us.

We choose our programme jointly - often modern poetry (post-1900) but we like the idea of retreating further into the past sometimes.

We bring our own choices to the group according to the programme, read the poems round the room and talk about how they have affected us and how successful (or otherwise) we think they are, sometimes moving on to subjects raised by the content.

We have recently looked at the poetry of Robert Frost, John Clare, Emily Dickinson and Seamus Heaney.
