We wish to consider topics in a very deep, radical way and will be happy with a wide range of opinions being expressed. Each member should take the lead in a topic at least once a year and will be expected to start off the meeting with up to 20 minutes of dialogue before opening to the rest of the members. They will be expected to send out to the rest of the group, one week before the meeting, a summary of what is to be explored – this could be their own summary, a YouTube video etc. For any given topic, there may be a need to follow up in a later meeting.
Topics could include planning, land redistribution (especially in Zimbabwe), oil and energy, how the markets work, gender, AI, digital, democratic theory, political toleration etc all as part of New Political Economy. The idea is that if we know where we've been, we can have a better idea of where we are going (the new stuff - and nobody really knows where we are going, is it a time of ideological change?).
