u3a

Social Group Redland and Cotham

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: Monthly on Wednesday mornings 10:15 am-12:00 pm
3rd Wednesday of the month
Venue: Browns Restaurant (Clifton)

This social group meets quite centrally, next to the City Museum at the top of Park Street, for coffee, chat and culture.

We have introduced 'Culture', an optional short (~30 min) visit after each Coffee Social. Initially this is to a different section or exhibition at the Bristol Museum, the RWA gallery or perhaps an occasional nearby lunchtime concert.

We have enjoyed Japanese Porcelain, the Bristol Tapestry, the Mary Anning (Dorset fossil hunter) exhibition and old Bristol maps. (Museum entry is free, except for special exhibitions, e.g. 'Constable's Hay Wain')

Anyone, including non-u3a members, is welcome to come along to find out more about u3a and some of the many local groups. Whenever you are free,  just pop along - there is no need to come every month
