The group is a band currently practicing and rehearsing with the aim of playing gigs in 2026. Rehearsals are held in a rehearsal studio and days/times are co-ordinated through a WhatsApp group and vary with studio availability. Other locations may be used in the future.

We discuss songs to cover (and style, arrangements etc) and practice in core areas (group subsets). Rehearsing in a decent studio with provided backline equipment means we don’t have to lug big amps and cabs around. We are always keen to hear from potential members and we want to share the roles where possible, eg a person plays bass on one number, keyboards on another and does not play at all on a third. The same applies for vocalists.

Experience levels – you don’t need to have gigged or played in a band before, but do need to be reasonably competent as either a vocalist or instrumentalist and keen to learn and collaborate. Everybody gets to have their say! Typical instruments include electric guitar, electric bass, keyboards, horns (trumpet, trombone, sax), percussion, drums. You will likely need to have your own instrument but some sharing can be possible.

Costs – studio rental fees are shared equally between members at that specific rehearsal, which usually run to a few pounds each.

Not everyone is at every rehearsal but a suitable core of musicians is always needed.
