Southmead Development Trust runs “Techy Tea Party” help sessions, you can bring your own devices or use theirs. Sessions at the following times and locations:

·       Every Monday, 11am – 12.30pm, Greenway Centre, Doncaster Rd BS10 5PY

·       Every Tuesday, 1pm – 3pm, Southmead Library, Greystoke Ave BS10 5BQ

·       First Wednesday of every month, 10.30am – 11.30am, St Stephens Church, Ullswater Rd BS10 6DP

South Gloucestershire

South Glos Libraries provide one-to-one sessions with a Digital Champion to get help with basic online skills – click here for details of libraries, dates and times.

To book your free session which generally lasts around an hour, you can:

  • book online
  • visit the library during staffed hours and speak to library staff
  • email the library
  • phone the contact centre on 01454 868006 (8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 4.30pm Fridays)

Age UK South Gloucestershire offer a free Digital Inclusion Service for older people with a South Glos address, with both group and one-to-one sessions. They also provide free loan tablets and internet connectivity so that people without access are able to give it a go and see if it's right for them.  Contact Age UK South Glos at:

Age UK South Glos run Digital Cafes across South Gloucestershire which are free of charge and can be attended without booking.  Drop in to

  • Tesco Extra Café in Yate every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon
  • Hanham Methodist Church from 12 noon to 2pm on 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month
  • Page Community Association, Staple Hill from 1pm until 3pm on 2nd Monday of the month

North Somerset

Portishead Tea and Tech – free digital and tech advice over tea and cake at the Folk Hall, 95 High St, Portishead once a month on a Wednesday, 11am-12.30pm.
