South Gloucestershire

South Gloucestershire Libraries provide one-to-one sessions with a Digital Champion to get help with basic online skills – click here for details of libraries, dates and times.

To book your free session which generally lasts around an hour, you can:

• visit the library during staffed hours and speak to library staff
• email the library
• phone the contact centre on 01454 868006 (8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.45am to 4.30pm Fridays)

Age UK South Gloucestershire offer a free Digital Inclusion Service for older people with a South Gloucestershire  address, with both group and one-to-one sessions. North Somerset

Portishead Tea and Tech – free digital and tech advice over tea and cake at the Folk Hall, 95 High St, Portishead once a month on a Wednesday, 11am-12.30pm. The remaining dates in 2026 are 9th September, 14th October, 18th November and 9th December.

Digital Buddies at Portishead Library - For those that feel they need a little more regular 1-2-1 tech support in a quieter setting Portishead Library have their weekly Digi Buddy sessions. Do you have a smartphone or tablet you are unsure how to use? Would you like to learn more about using a computer? Friendly volunteers will support you to gain computer skills and help you to access the Learn My Way website. Free pre-bookable hourly sessions are available on the following days:-

• Tuesdays 10:00am to 4:00pm
• Wednesdays 10:00am to 1:00pm
• Thursdays 10:00am to 12 noon
